Emma is an experienced broadcaster and internet journalist with a particular interest in health and fitness related issues, so she’s really looking forward to writing for Beauty Despite Cancer!

She currently freelances in local radio news, but during her nine years as a BBC internet journalist, she has written about a range of topics including Race For Life, the efforts of doctors in the East Midlands to help flood victims in Pakistan, a schoolboy with a rare sun allergy – and how MPs keep fit.

Emma’s just discovered the joys of blogging – thanks to a broken bone in her foot (don’t ask!)

Em’s Way To Go – When Injury Throws You A Curveball – examines how to cope when injury compromises your exercise regime (and in Emma’s case it’s a way of life!).

She’s happiest doing interviews – people featured so far include a champion swimmer who had a heart transplant, a football-mad sports presenter side-lined with a leg injury, and a cancer survivor whose own experience inspired her to open her own juice and superfood bar. Check it out here

Emma hopes to return to her favourite hobbies – running and Guerrilla training soon.
