Jo Taylor

Jo was 38 when diagnosed with breast cancer, married with two young children – a daughter was 5 months old and a son was 2 ½ years old.  It was a HUGE shock but Jo very quickly knew she wanted everything to ‘look’ as normal as possible so I opted for a mastectomy with an immediate reconstruction.

I was 38 when diagnosed with breast cancer, married with two young children – my daughter was 5 months old and my son was 2 ½ years old.  It was a HUGE shock but very quickly I knew I wanted everything to ‘look’ as normal as possible so I opted for a mastectomy with an immediate reconstruction

It is hard to get information on surgeons and specialists who perform reconstructions and to get information on the types of reconstruction. My vision is to provide links to all UK hospitals that carry out breast reconstruction surgery as well as featuring all of the reconstruction surgeons.

I want to provide a great source of information for women and men who have been diagnosed with  breast cancer. I want them the options they need to make informed decisions. The links also include the Cancer Network that these hospitals work under as they provide the working guidelines for cancer patients.

I will share some of my findings with you here as well as on my website www.abcdiagnosis.co.uk. I am all too aware that cancer is diagnosed all over the country and I will be highlighting regional cancer centres, support groups and charities in my posts for Beauty Despite Cancer.
