Sacrificial Brows and a travelling newsletter
Today is the day; I am off to France. I won’t be thinking about skincare for cancer patients or oncology massage training until next week. It is always a challenge to get away. My daughters are off school and we have been getting all of the jobs done that we neglect during term time.
First up was a brow tinting and shaping appointment for my 16 year old and her friend. We decided that we should visit Jo, a beauty therapist friend of mine. Jo jokingly mentioned ‘scouse brows’, next I knew, I was on the couch. If anyone was to have extreme brows it, apparently, was to be me. I didn’t even want my brows done! I suppose it doesn’t matter too much if I raise eyebrows in rural France. It does matter to a 16 year old. Luckily, my sacrificial brows are beautiful. I might have them done again. Both girls now sport well-defined eyebrows and are keen to visit Jo again. Eyelash tinting has been mentioned. I will suggest that my lovely husband accompanies them for that visit.
Other locations for the writing of this newsletter include the hairdressers (14 year old). I will not be falling for the ‘you go first mum’ trick again and the car as we speed towards Dover.
The multi-location writing has made me wonder about you guys and where you read my newsletter…..my imagination is running riot.
Please do let me know. I am sure there will be a prize if you make me laugh (not too hard) or cry (super easy).
