And then there were three – spa treatments for cancer patients - keeping me busy
This is weird; home feels different; we were five. In the space of a few weeks we have become three. My big girl left us in September. We were getting used to being four when my lovely husband was asked to go and work in LA for 3 months. Who can say ‘no’ to that on a rainy autumn afternoon? He said ‘maybe’, spent weeks deliberating, wondered if he would get a work visa and, eventually, he booked the flight. The period of deliberation means that he is in North Carolina not LA but it is still 30 degrees and sunny.
We three remain. Don’t tell anyone but we are cautiously quite liking it. The absentees are night owls; we are early birds. As we said ‘goodnight’ to each other at 2030/2100 last night we were rejoicing. My 0500 start was easier today.
Cowshed is responsible for the early start – we continue to train their excellent therapists in spa treatments for cancer patients. It is an honour and a pleasure and absolutely worth getting out of bed for. We always welcome models to our training sessions. Models are required to have been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. Spas in training provide a pamper; discreetly observed by our tutor. Our guests at Cowshed Primrose Hill this morning enjoyed their choice from the fullJennifer Young at Cowshed spa menu using Jennifer Young specialist skincare for cancer patients as well as a very impressive morning tea.
We are delivering even more training to Cowshed London in November – if you would like to join us as a model – please let us know.
